Top tips for maintaining a good exercise routine in the winter

1. Adjust your plan so that you can stick to it. Maybe re-schedule your run to lunchtime if you find it difficult to motivate yourself to run in during the dark mornings. Or switch to home workouts if getting to the gym in the rain is unappealing.

2. Wrap up warm! Get some new, warm workout gear to motivate yourself to exercise outside in winter.

3. Warm up properly. Preparing your heart, muscles and joints for exercise is even more important in cold weather in order to prevent injury.

4. Set yourself a new challenge! And maybe get some others involved too so you can motivate each other.
